How to use the eBSA
After entering the body height in cm and the body weight in kg, the total body surface area is calculated using the DuBois equation:
Body surface area in m2 = 0.007184 x body height in cm 0.725 x body weight in kg 0.425
To determine the percentage of body surface area affected by skin lesions, the number of palms equivalent to the affected skin area must be specified.
